Why choose the A/E/C Industry? There’s something tremendously rewarding about seeing your hard work turn into something tangible. Throughout the life of each construction project, I get to see an unused space transform into a finished product that the future occupants can grow/thrive within. While this industry is not unique in providing tangible results; there is something special about the teamwork it takes to complete a project, on both a company-wide and industry-wide level.

Advice/Keys to Success: Be positive. The A/E/C industry has its fair share of stress and challenges. One of the best qualities you can find in a team member is a positive attitude; coworkers, team members and clients will remember your attitude and what it brought to the table.

What was your most notable project in 2017? In 2017 I began a 90,000 s/f fit-up for Abt's new corporate headquarters in Cambridge, Mass., I will be wrapping that project up at the end of this month.

If you had a mentor in your career, who was it and what did they teach you? I am lucky enough to have had a lot of mentors, both professional and personal, but I would have to give my family the most credit on guiding me to where I am today. My father is an Engineer, and I always enjoyed seeing what he did first hand at bring your daughter to work day. That’s where my love for the industry began and what ultimately lead me to pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering. My parents have both been strong leaders for me and my three siblings. Teamwork and strong leadership make up the backbone of this industry. Growing up the oldest of four, I learned from my parents to be a trailblazer for my younger siblings.
