Vision 3 Archts. and N.E. Const. complete PolyRack NA facility

Cumberland, RI The design-build team of Vision 3 Architects and New England Construction recently completed construction for the $2.38 million, 13,800 s/f, PolyRack North America Corp. headquarters facility. PolyRack, a German company specializing in the design and manufacturing of custom computer housings, chose Highland Corporate Park for their expansion. It is the first U.S. facility for PolyRack.

Before beginning work on the design of the new headquarters, the design-build team learned firsthand about PolyRack's business and studied the intricacies of their manufacturing operations. "Vision 3 and New England Construction visited our plant in Germany, saw our operations, our corporate identity, and was really able to capture our brand," said Andreas Rapp, president of PolyRack.

The new, one-story headquarters building houses PolyRack's administrative offices and assembly, fabrication, and storage areas. The exterior of the building incorporates metal panel systems in PolyRack corporate colors, concrete masonry units, and aluminum glazing systems. The interiors are designed with a limited color palette and industrial style fixtures and furnishings. Construction began in June 2007 and was completed for a January 2008 opening.

"Having Vision 3 and New England Construction at the table as a team from the start was a successful experience," according to Rapp. "With this project, the cost we planned on was achieved. I really enjoyed working together with them."
