Waltham, MA ColoSpace has leased 16,211 s/f of a data center facility at 265 Winter St. in the center of the 128 Technology Belt. The new facility represents ColoSpace's sixth in the region as marketplace demand for secure, climate controlled, state of the art data storage and IT functions is occurring at an all-time high. Peter Yannotta, senior vice president; James Cali, vice president; James Halepis, associate vice president; and Philip Wonski, associate of UGL Equis represented ColoSpace in the transaction.

UGL Equis' Technology Services Division, through its national and international relationships in the industry, was able to identify suitable shadow space that met the company's requirements. Additionally, ColoSpace was able to lease back a portion of the space to the previous tenant, Global Capacity which maintained a presence on another floor in the building.

The facility has been upgraded to serve the immediate needs of local firms desiring high availability internet access, along with high density electrical capacity. ColoSpace currently manages several thousand servers, in addition to providing space and power for many more non-managed customer owned servers, located in private cabinets and cages within its six existing data centers.

Chip Batchelder, managing director of Wyman Street Advisors represented the landlord in the transaction.
