Dedham, MA Hebrew SeniorLife celebrated the construction midpoint for NewBridge on the Charles, a continuing care retirement community, with a topping off ceremony. The occasion was marked by putting the last piece of steel in place for the

community's health center, signifying a notable milestone in the project's progress. Hebrew SeniorLife development team members and the project contractors signed the project's final steel beam and raised an American flag to the highest point of the building.

NewBridge on the Charles is a continuing care retirement facility being developed

by Hebrew SeniorLife. When completed in the fall of 2009, NewBridge will provide a continuum of residences and health care services for older adults. For independent and active older adults, the campus includes 256 homes in cottages, villas, and apartments that are supported with senior services. NewBridge will also have 91 assisted-living units; 48 short-term recuperative beds; and 220 long-term care beds.

Suffolk Const. is the contractor for the NewBridge on the Charles project.

The NewBridge on the Charles campus, off of West St., includes the Rashi Jewish Day School, the Carl and Ruth Shapiro Community Center, recreation facilities, 1.7 miles of walking trails and 100 acres of preserved open space.

Speakers included:
