Schaetzke of AMG facilitates YWCA Boston's sale of 4,770 s/f

YWCA Boston chose to sell its unused property at 246 Seaver St. at auction. "We interviewed several real estate auction companies and chose Dale Schaetzke of Auction Marketing Group (AMG) because of his marketing research and marketing plan. We were very happy with the results of the auction. The property sold for $423,500," said Larry Seamans SVP for YWCA Boston. For years, the property had been an active transitional housing program for young homeless mothers. The property includes an 3,800 s/f Victorian style home featuring nine bedrooms and 970 s/f turn of the century carriage house, and is across from Franklin Park. Schaetzke, president of AMG, attributes marketing to the success of the auction. "An auction creates a real sense of urgency and real opportunity for potential buyers. Buyers that might not otherwise show an interest are often motivated to participate in an auction because of the inherent fairness of the process. Everyone has an equal opportunity to purchase the property at true, fair market value," said Schaetzke.
