Equity Office designates Camp Harborview as recipient of $10,000

Equity Office Properties presented mayor Thomas Menino with a $10,000 check to Camp Harborview this weekend at the camps' annual holiday function at UMASS Boston. This is Equity Office's second $10,000 donation to the camp. "Now more than ever, non-profit organizations need our support. Camp Harborview is doing very important work with the children of our communities and we are thrilled to be able to support Camp Harborview once again," said Greg Shay, president Equity Office Boston. Camp Harborview was designed to give all children a summer camp experience. Located on Long Island in Boston Harbor, Camp Harborview gives 600 children living in Boston's most at-risk neighborhoods a traditional 4-week summer camp experience, including hiking, swimming and arts and crafts. Camp Harborview is an initiative of the not-for-profit Camp Harbor View Foundation, Inc. in partnership with the City of Boston and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.
