NESCO acquires Densmore Electrical

Rutland, VT Needham Electric Supply Co. (NESCO), a full-service electrical distributor serving electrical contractors, national retail accounts, commercial and industrial companies, and institutional accounts, has acquired certain assets of Densmore Electrical Supply, a single branch distributor will join forces with the Yankee Electric Supply Rutland branch, NESCO's VT. and N.H. based division.

Established in 1994, Densmore Electrical Supply is a family-owned and operated electrical distributor serving primarily residential contractors. Richard Densmore has been named branch manager for the merged Rutland operations.

"We are very happy to welcome Densmore Electrical Supply to the NESCO family," said Gregory Wilson, president of NESCO. "Dick Densmore has built a profitable business over the past 16 years and has developed many long-standing relationships with his customers by providing excellent customer service. This merger will benefit Densmore customers with access to the resources of a larger, regional distributor, and it strengthens NESCO's presence in Southern Vermont."

NESCO is a full-service distributor of electrical products including lamps, switchgear, lighting, and an extensive line of electrical commodities. NESCO's solid reputation for outstanding performance and dedication to its customers, vendors and associates has helped the company achieve annual recognition on Electrical Wholesaling Magazine's "Top 200 National List of Electrical Distributors". Customers include electrical contractors, national accounts, commercial and industrial companies, institutional accounts, and OEMs. Headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts, NESCO has 17 branch locations throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont and retail national account offices in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and Ohio.
