Westport, CT Ted Hampe has joined John D. Hastings Commercial Real Estate as a VP.

A veteran of 29 years in the real estate business, Hampe first worked seven years with N.Y.-based Cross & Brown Co. managing their two offices in Connecticut. Next, he spent 21 years as chairman of H.T. Hampe Associates and its successor, HK Group. In 2009, he was in the employ of Prudential Commercial

A graduate of Iowa State University, along with an M.B.A. from Harvard, Hampe has earned the two highest commercial real estate designations, CCIM and SIOR.

Prior to his real estate career, Hampe spent 20 years "climbing the corporate ladders," beginning at Procter & Gamble. In addition, he has been active in community service, holding leadership positions in eight local organizations.
