Paine named 2011 president of Massachusetts Auctioneers Association

The Massachusetts Auctioneers Association (MAA) recently elected Sean Paine as its 2011 president. Paine will be serving his second consecutive term. The executive vice president of Stanley J. Paine Auctioneers in Newton, Paine is an auctioneer and real estate salesperson. He specializes in business liquidations, real estate foreclosures, and benefit auctions.
In his first year as president, Paine nearly doubled the MAA's membership in size and increased its exposure nationally. In 2011, he plans to further build the MAA's exposure on the Web.
Paine was also recently appointed to serve as an ambassador for the National Auctioneers Association (NAA). As an NAA Ambassador, Paine will serve as a liaison between the NAA and MAA. Ambassadors will update the NAA on events taking place in their state. The NAA is focused on helping promote state associations nationally. As an ambassador, Paine will also serve as an advisor to the NAA membership committee.
Paine is originally from Brookline and graduated from Pennsylvania State University.
