What year did you discover the New England Real Estate Journal
and what business were you doing at that time? I started my career in real estate in the mid-to-late 1980s working as an asset manager for John Hancock Properties. I was based in Boston but I was only responsible for properties in the Midwest until 1989 when I was assigned the Charter Oak Mall in East Hartford, Conn. Wilder Manley Associates was managing the property for us and a young Tom Wilder was among the first people I met from our region's retail real estate industry. Tom insisted that I start reading the New England Real Estate Journal and I have been an avid reader ever since.
