As president and principal of Copley Wolff Design Group, Lynn Wolff is responsible for the overall strategic direction and growth of the company. With over 30 years of planning and design experience, Wolff specializes in complex urban projects requiring expertise in project management for multi-disciplinary teams, multiple clients, and extensive cultural, historical, public art, and public participation components. Currently, Wolff is leading projects such as 101 Seaport Sq. and the Watermark - both of which are a part of the 6.4 million s/f residential, commercial, hotel, retail, and civic/cultural development taking place in the Seaport District. Wolff's entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership, and vision have led to the growth of her company which now has revenues exceeding $2.3 million.
Wolff's exemplary stewardship and accomplishments demonstrate her ability as a national leader in advancing the profession of landscape architecture. In the public realm, Wolff's spirit and professional rigor embody the civic-based and innovation-driven qualities that mark the foundation of the profession. Wolff's commitment to New England has been mirrored in her projects and accomplishments including the design and implementation of the Wharf District Parks on the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston; the Science Park at the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, VT; and the Therapy Trail and Garden at the New Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown, MA.
In addition to her award winning design projects, Wolff has been serving professional and civic organizations through her various roles as Boston Society Landscape Architects president and two-term trustee, president of the Hubbard Educational Trust and board member for Preservation Massachusetts. Most notably, Wolff was appointed by Boston's mayor Menino as a commissioner for the Boston Civic Design Commission. Wolff also serves on national and regional councils for the Urban Land Institute; is a member of New England Women in Real Estate and the Commonwealth Institute; and is a certified Charette Planner.
For years, Wolff has been recognized for her leadership and professionalism and has always been out front with her ideas and inspiration. Her leadership in these capacities has resulted in increased public recognition of landscape architecture and landscape architects in both Boston and New England, as well as on a national level. She leads by example with her overall excellent attitude, sunny demeanor, good humor, generosity, and professionalism. Wolff is a tremendous advocate for the profession of landscape architect as the means to create a better quality of life for all.
