The Connecticut / Western Massachusetts chapter of The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors recently held their fall quarterly meeting at the Scinto Auditorium - 4 Corporate Dr., followed by dinner at neighboring IL Pallio Restaurant. The chapter would like to thank R.D. Scinto, Inc. for generously hosting and sponsoring the event.
In addition to a number of business items, including the adoption of new chapter by-laws, elections were held for chapter officers.
Elected to serve the chapter for a two-year term were Frank Hird, SIOR - president; Jeff Ryer, SIOR, CCIM - vice president; and Kristin Geenty, SIOR - secretary/treasurer.
The entire chapter would like to acknowledge outgoing president, Bruce Wettenstein for his service and contributions to SIOR. Bruce was outstanding in advancing community service initiatives. Through Bruce's leadership, the chapter was recognized by SIOR National for excellence in community outreach. The chapter received the 2013 SIOR Best Charity and Fundraising Program award in response to their tremendous support of Habitat for Humanity.
