Essex Builders' rebranding program, including new logo and website, has coincided with project awards from new clients and an expansion of its construction management team. Recent contract awards include a multi-residential renovation in Newton, Massachusetts for Newton Community Development Foundation, as well as similar work in Wareham and Taunton for South Shore Housing Development. These projects, in addition to renovations for Temple Emeth in Chestnut Hill and a Volkswagen dealership in Watertown, have placed the company in a position to expand its workforce.
New hires include professionals across the company's platform from field superintendents to office based managers in estimating, operations and business development. Essex Builders hired Ben Gilbert as project manager. A Worcester Polytechnic Institute graduate, Gilbert brings 12 years of construction expertise. New assistant project manager hires include Caillin Wall and Alexandrea Banks. Caillin brings 7 years of construction and architectural experience. Both Caillin and Alexandrea are graduates of Wentworth Institute of Technology. Lastly, Michelle O'Neil joins the company to augment its business development team.
Thanks to Essex Builders' thirty year work history it is well positioned to recognize when it needs to gear up for an increased work load. O'Neil's business development efforts are already paying dividends, with the company poised to ink sizable contracts in the coming months.
"In the last quarter of 2014, I signed a lease for new office space in Canton, which doubled the size of our footprint" said Essex Builders' president, David O'Neil. "Our workload was trending in a positive direction and I wanted to positon the company to avail of these growth opportunities. The first two quarters of 2015 have reinforced the wisdom of this expansion."
