The 40 Under Forty Awards recognize outstanding young professionals in the Greater Hartford area that are excelling in their industries through their leadership roles. They are driven by success, motivated by challenges and are role models for their peers. In addition to the awards event, winners were recognized in a special issue of the Hartford Business Journal.

These individuals are part of an outstanding class of upcoming business leaders and share a commitment to business success, personal growth and community involvement. This event was an excellent networking opportunity and learning experience for the aspiring business leaders.

Every year for the last 22 years, Hartford Business Journal, with the help of its independent judges, has selected 40 of the top up-and-coming young professionals who are leading their respective organizations.

This year 164 nominations were received. Narrowing down the list to 40 deserving winners was a difficult task. More importantly, the winners provide evidence that our region has a vast young talent pool. As a state, we must do everything in our power to keep them here. They represent the promising future of our city, region and state. The 2018 winners are from the private, public and nonprofit sectors and from organizations both small and large.
