Real life case studies and problem scenarios will be used. Combined with Construction Management II; these 2 workshops will provide the owner and its key project team with a flexible framework and decision making process that helps move projects smoothly through all phases. Learning Objectives - Ensure that essential quality, time and cost targets are met, through an effective development process. - Learn to utilize a flexible framework and decision making process during: 1) Strategic planning for a project. 2) Programming phase. 3) Pre-construction process during design. Instructor Bios - Robert Reihl, CHC, CIM, LEED AP, Facilities Director, State of Connecticut Department of Public Health Laboratory. Mr. Reihl currently holds the position of Facilities Director, at the Connecticut Department of Public Health Laboratory, in Rocky Hill, CT. Mr. Reihl, a Project Executive with more than 30 years of construction industry experience across all business sectors, has played a critical role in the construction of some of Connecticut’s most complex life-science and biotechnology facilities, as well as a number of critically acclaimed science and research buildings on the state’s university campuses. Mr. Reihl is a consensus builder and an established leader, within the A/E/C community, who provides senior-level executive oversight for assignments involving planning, programming, constructing, and establishing operations, of major capital building projects. He is a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) and a Certified Industrial Manager (CIM).
