Stamford, CT J. Philip Commercial Group Brokerage completed the $2.35 million sale of 184 Selleck St., a 16,000 s/f industrial building.

The industrial building has been occupied for the last century by Hathaway, Reiser & Raymond, one of the last sail boating maintenance shops in the state. Fritz Chery, a lead salesperson at J. Philip Commercial, represented the sellers, Tom Anderson and John Savage of Hathaway, Reiser & Raymond, as well as the buyer, Dr. Philip Putter of Spot On Veterinary.

“We are thrilled to announce that Spot On Veterinary Hospital & Hotel is one BIG step closer to reality today,” said new owner, Dr. Putter. “Spot on Veterinary will be a state-of-the-art animal care facility. We will offer the convenience of a one-stop shop for all of our customers’ pet needs, including a veterinary hospital, luxury boarding, daycare, grooming and training.”

Putter has also re-signed with J. Philip Commercial to lease out 4,000 s/f of industrial space within the property.

“Stamford is the hub of commerce and vitality in Connecticut,” said Chery. “This site and structure is an ideal fit for a veterinary hospital and hotel.  The community – and their pets – will benefit significantly.”

“This is one of many transactions for the J. Philip commercial team in the Stamford Area,” said Jennifer Maher, broker/co-owner, J. Philip Commercial Group. “We have our sights set on opening a Fairfield County office in 2018.

According to Putter, the new veterinary hospital and hotel is slated for opening in late spring or early summer.
