Connecticut/Western Massachusetts SIOR chapter fall events

Hartford, CT The calendar for the remainder of 2017 is confirmed with a variety of Connecticut/Western Massachusetts SIOR chapter activities.  Details of upcoming events are outlined below.

• September 28: The chapter is delighted to be returning to the Essex Yacht Club for its annual meeting and dinner event, situated on the western shore of the lower Connecticut River.

• October 3: Two continuing education classes will be held at the New Haven Board of Realtors in North Haven, and will include the Connecticut Mandatory course and Environmental Updates & The Anatomy of a Deal.  Both courses will earn Connecticut Continuing Education credit.

October 12: The Connecticut Commercial UCONN Real Estate Conference will be held at the Hartford Marriott, and the chapter is one of the proud sponsors of the annual event.

October 21: Habitat for Humanity volunteer day in Bridgeport has been scheduled as part of SIOR’s Day of Service, to commemorate the end of World War II in Europe.

October 26 – 28: Fall World Conference to be held in Chicago.  Plan to join chapter members and officers, and SIORs around the globe, for another World Conference planned with high quality speakers, workshops, and networking events.

December 7: Holiday chapter meeting and bowling event at Woodway Country Club in Darien.

The Connecticut/Western Massachusetts Chapter is one of forty-eight chapters of the prestigious international organization, the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.  Commercial real estate professionals must meet rigorous requirements to earn the SIOR designation. SIOR, based in Washington, D.C. and founded in 1941, has more than 3,160 members in 680 markets located in 36 countries.  SIORs are top producers who are required to complete an educational recertification program every three years.  This assures those who need the services of a commercial real estate agent that the SIOR has achieved continued excellence.
