Randolph, MA CTA Construction Managers expressed its gratitude to the Randolph community for their partnership in the construction of the recently-completed 31,000 s/f Randolph Intergenerational Community Center. Its completion was marked by a grand opening celebration and open house prior to the beginning of a full schedule of programming.

“We want to congratulate Randolph on the completion of this community center, which will be a resource for residents of all ages for generations to come,” said Paul DuRoss, principal at CTA. “The town was a real partner with us on this project, and we thank them for placing their trust in us to get it done. We’re proud to turn it over to the community.”

The town and CTA broke ground on the $10.3 million community center last August. The 31,000 s/f facility is now open to residents of all ages and features a variety of amenities, including a gymnasium, exercise and fitness rooms, indoor walking track, a greenhouse, meeting spaces, classrooms, a teaching kitchen, theatre and arts space, and outdoor amenities.

CTA Construction partnered with the owner’s project manager Daedalus Projects, Inc. and architects Bargmann Hendrie + Archetype, Inc. (bh+a) on the project. The new facility will serve various recreational programs of the town, including the senior center and youth center.

The Recreation Department and Elder Services Department will be housed at the new building.

Residents and public officials gathered for the grand opening ceremony of the center, where they dedicated it to former town councilor Paul Fernandes, a passionate advocate for its construction who died suddenly this past May. Attendees included Town Manager David Murphy, Sen. Walter Timilty, Rep. William Driscoll, members of the Randolph Town Council, and Mary Fernandes, wife of the late Paul Fernandes.
