Portland, ME Developer Jack Soley, together with Andrew Roy and Ali Malone of Portside Real Estate Group, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for Parris Terraces, the city’s first workforce housing condominium development, on June 14.

Designed by Kaplan Thompson Architects, Parris Terraces is located at 60 Parris St. in the city’s Bayside neighborhood. The new development offers 23 one-bedroom units and on-site parking spaces. The energy efficient units were created with a vision to make housing accessible to working professionals, who are otherwise priced-out of Portland’s real estate market.

“This is a unique and affordable new real estate opportunity in a great walkable location in the rejuvenated Bayside neighborhood,” said Roy and Malone. “We are excited to launch Parris Terraces and we expect to see occupancy by April 2019.”

With modern and well-appointed units, complete with outdoor decks, this project will also be a good fit for first-time home buyers and retirees looking to call the city’s peninsula home.

The construction is managed by Hebert Construction. The sales office will be open at Portside Real Estate Group’s office at 330 Forest Ave.
