Diversity Construction Group Foundation presents scholarship

Cheshire, CT Diversity Construction Group Foundation on Thursday, August 10th presented the foundation’s 2017 scholarship to Catherine Dimon, a 2017 graduate of Seymour High School. Dimon will utilize the $2,500 scholarship to expand her studies in construction management at Central Connecticut State University in the fall.

“We are very pleased to be able to support Catherine in her pursuit of a career in our industry,” said James Keaney, Jr., Diversity Construction Group president.

A nonprofit founded in 2016, Diversity Construction Group Foundation is committed to promoting diversity in the construction industry.  The foundation seeks to provide scholarship opportunities to minority or female high school students looking to pursue a career in the construction industry.

Diversity Construction Group Foundation will hold its second fundraising golf tournament on September 25th at Wallingford Country Club. Please contact the foundation to participate or donate.

Diversity Construction Group Foundation is a 501(c)(3) established in 2016.  The foundation was created for charitable purposes, primarily for providing education scholarships to high school seniors.  The foundation is focused on the issue of racial and gender capacity in the construction industry.  Their goal is to provide encouragement and financial assistance to high school students that wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a major that will lead to a career in the field of Construction.

Diversity Construction Group (DCG) is a commercial construction company located in Cheshire, CT. DCG is a full service general building contractor, specializing in public and private projects. DCG was founded in 2011 and has an extensive number of completed contracts that we are proud to showcase. These include school renovations, historical renovations, ADA improvements, and athletic field construction.
