Westport, CT Goedecke & Co., LLC, one of New England’s largest privately held mortgage banking companies, has appointed Jay Marshall as executive vice president and Katharine Lombardo as senior associate operating from the company’s Westport, office. 

Marshall is a seasoned production professional responsible for origination of debt, equity and structured finance investments on behalf of clients throughout southern New England and Metro New York, while following clients around the country. During the course of his career Marshall has completed in excess of $8 billion in commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on office, hospitality, multi-family and industrial properties. Marshall has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate with the past 25 years being at HFF, LP, or predecessor firm, where he held the position of senior managing director in their New York office. He began his real estate career with Harold D. Baker & Co. in New York in 1988.

A selection of his notable transactions include the $613 million construction financing of Riverside Parcel J in NYC, the $400 million refinance of the Manhattan Hotel Portfolio and the land/construction loan for the 1.1 million s/f Elk Grove Technology Park in Chicago. Marshall earned a B.A. degree in History from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Real Estate Finance Association and the Young Mortgage Bankers Association of New York. 

Lombardo has over 10 years of commercial real estate experience most recently as vice president at Angelo, Gordon & Co., LP on the net lease investment team in New York City responsible for asset & property management of a 170 property, 30 million s/f portfolio and Wells Fargo Bank underwriting for the commercial real estate institutional lending group also in New York City. She carries both the CCIM and CPM commercial real estate designations. She received a B.A. degree in Finance with a minor in Marketing from Villanova University.
