Erin Griffin has joined Environmental Compliance Services, Inc. (ECS) as a geotechnical engineer.
Griffin is a professional engineer with over 20 years of geotechnical and environmental engineering experience, working especially on nuclear and fossil power projects. Her responsibilities include geotechnical/earthquake consulting engineering services, managing and performing geotechnical evaluations and developing geotechnical components of design.
Griffin's geotechnical engineering experience includes coordination and oversight of subsurface investigations and laboratory testing programs; reduction of geotechnical laboratory test results; evaluation of subsurface conditions and design soil parameters; engineering design analyses, including bearing capacity, slope stability, settlement analyses, and sheet pile wall design; preparation of design memoranda, foundation reports, geotechnical studies, proposals, and budgets; and project management. Her environmental engineering experience includes performance of site investigations, preparation of planning documents and closeout reports, regulatory compliance (including RCRA, TSCA, CERCLA regulations), and oversight of field cleanup activities at hazardous waste sites.
Griffin has published papers for several conferences, including the International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering in Egypt. She holds a Master of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Mass. Lowell, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University.
