May 10 - Come and See How Harvard Business Publishing is AGILE in Brighton at Harvard Business Publishing, 20 Guest St., #700. Harvard Business Publishing’s (HBP) new headquarters is a technology-rich, mobile work environment with a variety of spaces that enable employees to engage in different ways of working throughout the day. The workplace strategy was informed by HBP’s most important cultural drivers–Team, identity, technology, innovation, ergonomics and light–and seeks to optimize HBP’s approach to agile project management, cultivate teamwork, and drive innovation. This event is limited to 50 attendees, so reserve soon. Panelists include:

May 17 - IFMA Awards of Excellence (this event is sold out) - 6-10 p.m. at The Institute of Contemporary Art, 100 Northern Ave. Navigating change at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston’s Innovation District on May 17. This year’s event will kick off with a cocktail hour, followed by the awards presentation in the Barbara Lee Family Foundation Theatre, followed by a cocktail dinner reception throughout the first floor of the museum. They will be highlighting the contributions of the A/E/C community throughout the year and celebrate the best and brightest within the Facility Management profession. The cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m., awards to begin promptly at 7 p.m. and cocktail dinner reception to follow at 8 p.m.

May 24 - The Disaster Experience for Facility Managers - 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Boston Art, 21 Drydock Ave. This simulation will put you in the throes of real-life disaster situations – as they unfold. You will make critical decisions and deal with the consequences of those decisions! After you’ve finished, you’ll understand the importance of advance disaster and continuity planning. Chances are that while you read this, an unexpected disaster is causing a facility manager stress and confusion. Are the facilities leaders prepared to handle it? Will they be able to recover? Disasters of every shape, size, look and feel happen all the time, affecting businesses, people’s jobs, lives and families. This session has been designed to put you into a real-life disaster situation, as it unfolds. You will make the critical decisions any facility manager will have to make - and deal with the consequences of those decisions! You’ll never want to be caught unprepared again! This comprehensive, four hour program, including lunch, is free to IFMA Boston members and $400 for non members.

June 20 - 2017 IFMA Boston Golf Classic - from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. at Red Tail Golf Club,15 Bulge Rd., Devens, Mass. Join them for IFMA Boston’s annual golf classic at Red Tail Golf Club! As you know, Red Tail is the top ranked course in Massachusetts and as a result all the foursomes were sold out in record time last year! It is a single course, so only 36 foursomes available this year. Act fast! This year each regular foursome comes with either tee or green signage. They also have seven prize hole foursomes that come with tee signage and up to two representatives can sit at the hole for the day! They also have a great selection of sponsorships to highlight your company!
