Scarborough, ME Jewett Construction Co. is taking steps to continue growth in the state. Jewett has hired Jon Sirois as general manager, Maine operations and will be opening a new office in Scarborough this summer. According to president Craig Jewett, the investment in Maine was a logical next step.

“We’ve seen significant growth in Maine over the past several years and are committed to our clients in the region,” said Jewett. “I’ve known Jon for years, it was an easy decision to bring him on board and I know we will do great things together.”

Sirois started his career in the District of Columbia with a nationwide contractor as a project manager and quickly progressed to project executive overseeing major government projects as well as private sector jobs. After spending several years in the nation’s capital, Sirois decided to move home to Maine.

He recently worked for one of the largest and most successful construction managers in the state where he managed large new construction projects and major renovations. With more than 15 years of experience, he is ready to take the next step in his career. Sirois said, “The Jewett Construction name and reputation speaks for itself. I’m excited to build an even larger presence in Maine.”

Sirois currently lives in Gray, with his wife and ten-month old daughter. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, golfing and spending time with his family in the Carrabassett Valley. An active volunteer, Sirois gives frequent guest lectures about construction methods and construction management at his alma mater in Orono.
