Litchfield of Concord Commercial sells “Joy House” for $290,000

Manchester, NH Brenda Litchfield of Concord Commercial Real Estate completed the sale of the “Joy House,” the 130-year-old octagonal brick building at 481 Hanover St.  This multifamily property, circa 1886, features an octagon brick design, a spiral staircase rising to the 3rd floor,  and the original cupola with 360 degree views of the city from atop Hanover Hill. 

The property was commissioned by Henry Joy, whose professional life in Manchester included being the proprietor of Island Pond House, and owner of two grocery stores on Manchester and Central  Sts. For the past 30 years, the property has been home to the advertising firm of Stal McLane.  

Stal McLane Properties LLC, represented by Concord Commercial Real Estate, sold the property to Joy House LLC, a partnership formed by Stacey Connors and Brian Potter.    The property sold for $290,000.
