Michael Integlia & Company breaks ground on 88,500 s/f project

East Providence, RI Michael Integlia & Company (Integlia Co.), a leading real estate development firm based in Providence, held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the new home for University Orthopedics. The development, financed by The Washington Trust Company, marks the first commercial development project on the Kettle Point Redevelopment parcel fronting on Veterans Memorial Pkwy.

The groundbreaking ceremony attracted more than one hundred spectators including local dignitaries, physicians, staff and Rhode Island governor Gina Raimondo. Raimondo said,  “We have some of the best healthcare professionals in America here in Rhode Island and I certainly appreciate that commitment to Rhode Island. This is a big investment in Rhode Island and it shows that we have a very bright future.”

The new 88,500 s/f development on the Kettle Point site reflects the vision between the project team and University Orthopedics goals to best serve their orthopedic patients in the community and beyond.

Utilizing professional design expertise, Smart Building Technology is integrated with the highest level of interior fit-out and finishes available on the market. Each suite is purposefully designed to reflect the particular needs of the orthopedic specialty area it serves. An Ambulatory Surgical Center and physical therapy/rehabilitation facilities feature prominently in the extensive scope of services offered.

Along with the development of this new medical office building, the remainder of the 40-acre site is currently underway with the construction of 290 residential units, which will consist of apartments and townhomes.
