Moorings at Squantum Gardens celebrates 10 years

Quincy, MA The Moorings at Squantum Gardens, a community managed by full-service real estate and property management firm Peabody Properties, celebrated its 10th anniversary with residents, staff, and local officials, including mayor Thomas Koch, representative Bruce Ayers, and city councilors Noel DiBona and Margaret Laforest.

The celebration, which took place at The Moorings at Squantum Gardens (420 East Squantum St.), featured a luncheon, music, and speakers, including mayor Koch, representative Ayers, and councilors DiBona and Laforest. Both Koch and Ayers shared their memories of the process by which the former Naval Yard was transformed into The Moorings at Squantum Gardens community, in part through the sincere efforts and interest of the late Edward Fish, founder of Peabody Properties.

Doreen Bushashia, president of Peabody Resident Services, Inc. (a division of Peabody Properties, Inc.), also addressed the group on behalf of Karen Fish-Will and Melissa Fish-Crane (principals and CEO and COO, respectively, of Peabody Properties). She offered a comprehensive history of The Moorings at Squantum Gardens, and stressed the importance of both the staff and residents’ impact on the positive and fulfilling community enjoyed by all. 

Additionally, certificates were handed out to the over 90 residents who moved into The Moorings at Squantum Gardens when it first opened in 2007 and who still live there today.
