Billerica, MA The second annual Middlesex 3 Real Estate 2020 Building for the Future summit was held August 1 at 290 Concord Rd. The New England Real Estate Journal with the Middlesex 3 Coalition hosted two panels speaking about the state of housing and economic development to over 200 people.

The first panel included moderator Jay Ash, secretary of MA Housing and Economic Development, who spoke about new legislation being passed including the second Economic Development Bill to help revitalization and businesses grow. He also mentioned new projects in the state including Verizon moving its innovation hub to Boston. 

 

 

Other speakers included: Robert Buckley of Riemer & Braunstein; Katie Enright of Howard Stein Hudson; Corinne Maleski of ahp Architects; Chad Haskell of iRobot; and Jessica Levesque of Instrumentation Laboratory. 

The second panel was moderated by Steven Tello of UMass Lowell. Speakers included Gary Campbell of Gilbert Campbell Real Estate; Dean LaMothe of E Ink; Tim Thompson of Marcus & Millichap; John Power of Farley White; and Lynn Bora of WinnResidential.

Both panels held discussions on why people and businesses should choose Middlesex County over Boston, and covered topics such as innovation centers, employee relations, economic development, investments, amenities and start-ups.
