New Hampshire Army National Guard field maintenance shop - Hooksett, NH

Hooksett, NH North Branch Construction was busy this summer wrapping up two recently-completed, projects located across from each other along Rte. 3.

The first, a new, $10 million field maintenance shop for the New Hampshire Army National Guard (NHARNG) consisted of a 27,200 s/f field maintenance building and a separate 2,435 s/f metal storage building. The building, designed by Smith Alvarez Sienkiewycz Architects, includes a six-bay garage with overhead crane maintenance capabilities, a drive-through wash bay, a tool storage room, offices, classrooms, and gym and shower facilities. The scope of work also included major site improvements. This new facility, currently obtaining LEED certification, has combined the Manchester and Hillsborough field maintenance shops into one location to support the maintenance and repair of combat and tactical vehicles. The NHARNG has begun moving into the new location.

Shooter’s Outpost - Hooksett, NH

Less than a mile up the road from the NHARNG facility, North Branch completed an addition to Shooter’s Outpost, a retail facility offering a selection of firearms, firearm accessories, ammunition, tactical apparel, safes, and more located within the iconic log cabin on Rte. 3. The 14,000 s/f, three-level structural steel addition with real log siding and corners, doubles the size of the existing building, featuring high-vaulted ceilings and exposed interior beams. The new space provides a new display area, increased retail space, a café with commercial kitchen, employee offices, training space, new bathrooms, and inventory storage. North Branch partnered with Cowan and Goudreau Architects on this design-build project.
