As a schoolboy, he worked in a shoe company (Endicott-Johnson) and while still in school, worked his way up to manager. After a tour of duty with the W.T. Grant chain, Tony started a small chain of his own, building to three units, and later selling the business. “In those days it was 5am-9am in my work clothes doing labor, then 9-5pm in my business suit running the shop, then back to the grimy work clothes. It paid off. I learned the retail business the hard way. 14 years ago I decided to sell my business and start a real estate office.” Although Tony cannot hammer a nail, he became more interested in the development end of real estate, while he had build up a very good residential and insurance following. “In the last nine years we have developed seven shopping centers and now have three in the planning stages. Slowly but surely, roads are being built up here which gives us an unlimited future in development of all kinds.” Tony, who also has a downtown office building to his credit is more proud of the family development, some of which he credits his wife – eight daughters and two sons.
