Education: Yale University, Class of 1947 After 2 years in the U.S. Navy, Howard became a salesman for a Chicago manufacturing firm; and in 1947, he became affiliated with his father in the real estate business. By 1950, his brother Norman had entered the business, and the three Benedicts developed one of the most respected real estate and appraisal firms on the East Coast. Howard is the only C.P.E. (Certified Property Exchangor) in New England and just one of 140 in the country. “We are formulating a course here in New England for the field and I plan to be teaching 5 courses by next year.” A past president of the Conn. Association, Beneduct will serve as one of the experts on the trade-in and exchange panel being held at this year’s Mass. Realtors Institute (he has 10 years experience on the faculty at Yale).
