Boston, MA Siemens Industry, Inc. has rolled out a new structure in the building technologies division of its Boston branch. The changes, which include increasing branch staffing by 25%, enable the division’s building automation and fire and security teams to continue to serve existing customers and prepare for future market growth. The new structure also increases the division’s ability to deliver high-quality efficient solutions by utilizing the most innovative technologies available, including prefabrication and LEAN construction.
“Our new structure is designed specifically to better serve our customers and their needs, both now and in the future,” said Jaime Paris Boisvert, general manager of the branch. “By refining our internal processes and enhancing our project staffing, we will increase productivity and drive efficiencies, thereby reducing time-to-market and overall cost. This includes utilizing new methods of execution and introducing new technologies to enable quicker response rates, shorter lead times and improved quality.”
The building automation staff executing projects will be organized into three teams to balance Siemens’ resources and quickly meet the changing demands of the Boston construction market. Each team will be led by a dedicated operations manager and staffed by a team tailored to each customer’s project needs.

The Boston branch will also elevate its fire and security division, both within the organization and within the marketplace as a whole. The addition of an engineering supervisor, who is a fire protection engineer with broad knowledge of fire code and system architecture, will round out the seasoned project design and execution team in Boston.
“Redesigning the Fire and Security team will have a positive impact on the ways in which we work with our customers,” said Jerry Quinn, Boston general manager for Siemens fire and security. “This new approach will help us streamline project flow from estimate to project completion, enabling us to better manage existing projects and support the increasing demand for our expertise in this area.”
The Boston branch of building technologies is comprised of five offices across Greater Boston. The branch is headquartered in Canton with locations in the Seaport, Auburndale and New Bedford, and Cranston, Rhode Island.
