We completed nearly 700 projects in 2003 with over $8 million in sales, continuing to make Ahern New England’s largest open shop commercial and industrial painting contractor. Our commitment to building strong, long-term relationships with contractors, owners, architects and customers is evident in our success.

Ahern employs a full time Safety Officer to oversee the education of our employees and to monitor compliance. More importantly though, we see safety as a team effort with every person committed to keeping us accident free. We’ve adopted an innovative approach to workers’ compensation by joining with a group of other committed contractors to self-insure our coverage. Acceptance into the group is highly selective and requires a very substantial commitment by every member company. We're proud of the fact that as a group we have one of the lowest loss ratios in the industry. As a company we’ve been accident free for seven years. We will not compromise on safety.
Innovation and attention to detail extends to our internal operations as well. We believe in using technology where ever possible to automate repetitive tasks, save time and streamline operations. We're continually striving to bring our accounting system closer and closer to real-time, so we always have up-to-date information instantly accessible.
