Wayne J. Griffin Electric celebrates annual National Apprenticeship Week

Holliston, MA  For the third straight year, Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. participated in the U.S. Department of Labor’s National Apprenticeship Week. National Apprenticeship Week is a federal initiative that gives leaders in business, labor, and education the opportunity to show their support for apprenticeship.

In recognition of its in-house Apprenticeship Training Program and the men and women who are enrolled, Wayne J. Griffin Electric celebrated National Apprenticeship Week in each of its five office locations (Holliston, Mass., Charlotte and Durham, NC, Duluth, GA and Pelham, AL.    

Wayne J. Griffin Electric kicked off the event with a series of raffles, giveaways, and a special luncheon in appreciation of its apprentices for all of their hard work and dedication to the company. Throughout the week project foremen at each of the company’s 200+ active jobsites treated their crews to a jobsite luncheon to acknowledge apprentices and the licensed electricians who mentor them on a daily basis.        

National Apprenticeship Week also coincided with Griffin Electric’s 25th anniversary of its Apprenticeship Training Program, which has prepared hundreds of students for their electrical journeyperson licensing exam over the years. The program is accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and designated as an approved training site by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
