What is the best advice you have received, and who was it from? While working in another career field, I participated in an executive retreat with my colleagues, where everybody gave a short presentation. One of these presentations turned out to be the best advice I’ve ever received, “Most things in business are never as good as they first seem or as bad as they first seem. Don’t let yourself get too up or too down. Stay balanced for effective leadership and overall career satisfaction.” This advice is perfectly fitting for commercial real estate. There are deals won and many deals lost; so, i try to keep my outlook in the middle.
