What are some of the benefits of being a mentor or having a mentor? I have been on both sides of the mentor-mentee relationship and find great benefit both. An important benefit of the mentor-mentee relationship is gaining knowledge from your mentor’s experience, listening, and being mindful of how you can implement this feedback in your own life/career that ultimately results in personal and professional growth. However, it is important to have a mentor who has been where you are and is willing to share their experiences in those situations. The benefit to me personally, is the feeling I get helping others learn, grow and succeed in their own life/career.
