What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2020? Even with all the challenges that were presented in 2020, in October, my firm celebrated its 10th Anniversary and we are tracking to have one of our best years since we started. Additionally, I was recognized for my commitment to the business community as one of Rhode Island’s Leaders & Achievers by a local business publication. Finally I received the Roy McBean Memorial State Alliance Board Member of the Year award from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America for my service on the Rhode Island State Alliance Board.

What is the best advice you have received, and who was it from? My mother instilled into us as children “right is right, wrong is wrong, and fair is fair” and I have carried on applying these values throughout my life and in my business. I have built my reputation by doing what is right, admitting when I am wrong and always being fair, and I am proud of where it has brought us.

What was the most difficult part of working during the pandemic of 2020? The pandemic did not slow down the progress of deals. Everyone we work with quickly was able to adapt and adjust to the regulations. I was quoted right before the pandemic stating “emails and phone calls can’t compare to a face to face interaction” and I stand by that. The most difficult part has been the loss of networking and spontaneous interactions. It has always been a valuable way for us to improve our networking as well as support Rhode Island businesses and I am looking forward to being back in a bustling café.
