How do you contribute to your community or your profession? Participating on industry committees and contributing to community-based charitable organizations helps all of us. We strongly support organizations such as Caritas Communities, Catholic Charities, The Fisher House, St. Mary’s Center, Minute Man Arc and several others. In the life-safety business, we have been fortunate enough to help protect those with intellectual disabilities and seniors who require special accommodations in the buildings of the communities that we protect. One way I’ve been able to contribute directly is by working on NFPA’s Disability Access Review & Advisory Committee (DARAC) to ensure that building and fire codes protect individuals with various disabilities.
