2022 Ones to Watch: Andrew Orpik, Vice President at Cresa Boston

June 10, 2022 - Spotlights

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Our Cresa Boston office had its most successful year ever last year. During a pandemic, and one that really affected real estate, it’s a testament to the team we have at Cresa and the great work we’re doing for clients. For me personally, our partnership with a leading tech organization has been especially rewarding. We started working together five years ago, and we’ve helped them expand their presence within the Boston market in step with their organizational growth and innovation. They now hold more than 150,000 s/f of high-end office and R&D space throughout greater Boston.

What led you to your current profession? I was fortunate to have some incredible mentors working in the real estate industry: Rob Griffin, Jay Calnan, Joe Zink, Frank Nelson, and many others. Seeing their professionalism and the way they carried themselves gave me an immediate interest in the commercial real estate world. I was fortunate to knock on the door of Joe Sciolla at Cresa who gave me my first job and I’ve never looked back. Particularly in this industry, having mentors and being a mentor for others is invaluable in growing a network and learning the trade.

What are the top 3 items on your bucket list?

  1. Play Augusta National
  2. See the Buffalo Bills win a Superbowl
  3.  Visit all the National Parks (three down, 60 to go)

What are you doing when you aren’t working? Staying active in the community is really important to me, especially raising money for ALS research through co-founding the Comm Ave Charity Classic. In my free time, I’m usually golfing or making improvements to our new house.
