What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? Learning a new language.
What made you interested in seeking a career in the AEC industry? As an occupational safety and health professional for the past 20 years, I’ve had a vast variety of opportunities in different industries but the heavy-duty industries such as petroleum and construction are the ones I love the most. A big reason I love working in construction is the real sense of comradery within the industry – it’s a team-oriented environment and makes the completion of a job really rewarding.
What tips or advice would you offer to other women who are considering entering the construction industry? Keep your head up, take a deep breath and keep doing your best. Also, learn from each experience to continuously improve your skills.
