What noteworthy transactions or deals from this year best exemplified key market trends or shifts?
The Foundry has been a standout project this year, capturing the growing trend toward adaptive reuse and community-driven development. Transforming a former industrial space into a vibrant, mixed-use environment was an opportunity to embrace sustainability, historic preservation, and the flexibility today’s businesses and residents are seeking. It will soon become a hub for activity and connection, reflecting broader market shifts toward innovative, purpose-driven spaces.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2024?
Preparing The Eddy for its launch in Biddeford. This community is designed to offer a balance of urban convenience and a strong connection to the outdoors. With direct access to the Eastern Trail, a landscaped courtyard, walking paths, fire pits, and a great lawn, The Eddy embraces indoor-outdoor living. Residents will also benefit from wellness amenities like a yoga studio, golf simulator, sunroom, and library. The Eddy underscores our commitment to creating spaces that go beyond meeting basic needs to deliver an exceptional experience. Pre-leasing starts soon!

What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2025?
I believe private-public partnerships will play an increasingly important role in 2025. We recently hosted the Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission and the Greater Portland Council of Governments at The Eddy to discuss how collaboration can address key challenges like housing and sustainable development. These discussions emphasized the importance of aligning private investment with public goals to create lasting, community-focused solutions. As we face increasingly complex issues, these partnerships will continue to drive innovation and deliver meaningful, impactful projects.
