What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community? I am proud to have helped lead the expansion of our practice at one of the largest accounting and advisory firms in the U.S., starting the Client Accounting and Advisory Group in 2017. We’ve grown to 50+ associates, 80% of whom are women. In my role as president of Professional Women in Construction - Connecticut Chapter, many of these associates have joined committees for this association to mentor, support, and provide valuable resources and scholarships to women in construction. This mutual support is vital; while I strive to support and encourage them, they equally inspire and support me.

Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry? Herman Dostie, my first mentor, inspired me most in my career. Born in Canada, he read every night to master the Real Estate and Construction business on his own. He taught me valuable lessons during the 15 years we worked together but also listened to my ideas and encouraged my confidence. Passionate about supporting future leaders, I joined Professional Women in Construction, CT Chapter eight years ago. Now as President, I see how scholarships and mentorship programs provide those interested in construction a Head Start. To women in A/E/C: Own your perspective with confidence – it matters!

What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work? Traveling is my favorite way to recharge and get inspired.

Do you have a hidden talent or a surprising fact about yourself that most people wouldn’t know? My hidden talent is gardening. It brings me peace and Joy!
