What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community? One project in my career that I am most proud of is a campus improvement job. This job included bringing the building entrances up to code, renovating the courtyard, and installing an infiltration system and ADA lift. This project has left a lasting impact on the building tenants, not only for access but also increased morale as many functions have been held in the courtyard since the project’s completion. Working in a building that offers amenities inside and outside is a definite asset.

Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry? During my initial internship, I worked under a highly skilled project engineer. Under her mentorship, I developed essential skills that I have carried from job to job, like organization, communication, and asking questions. This experience solidified my commitment to the A/E/C industry, leading to my current role at BW Kennedy. At BW Kennedy, I have collaborated with many knowledgeable and talented professionals. I encourage women entering the industry to confidently ask questions, as this fosters meaningful relationships. Most importantly, trust in your abilities and advocate for yourselves.

What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work? My favorite way to recharge is to take my dog to the park or walk.

Do you have a hidden talent or a surprising fact about yourself that most people wouldn’t know? An interesting fact that most people wouldn’t know is that I have been skydiving.
