What drew you to commercial real estate, and what keeps you passionate? I was drawn to commercial real estate for its scale, impact, and power to transform how people live and work. I enjoy creating spaces that become vital to communities and businesses. Each project brings unique challenges and opportunities, keeping the work exciting. With the industry’s constant evolution in markets, technology, and design, I stay inspired, energized, and motivated to keep learning and growing.

What’s a challenge you faced early in your career, and how did you overcome it? Early in my career, I worked as a superintendent in a male-dominated field, where earning respect was a real challenge. I learned that trust came from listening, valuing the team’s expertise, and leading with empathy. Through hard work, open communication, and collaboration, I built strong relationships and proved that leadership is about respect and teamwork, not just authority.

What advice would you give to a woman considering a career in commercial real estate? My advice is to embrace challenges and keep learning. Early in my career, as one of the few women on-site, I learned that leadership isn’t about authority but about trust, empathy, and genuine interest. Commercial real estate is dynamic, with every project offering chances for creativity and growth. Approach it with curiosity, confidence, and openness to others. Building relationships and being a true team player are key to long-term success.
