What has been the most rewarding project or deal you’ve worked on in your career, and why? Very early on in my career I represented a husband and wife, who were sued for misrepresentation and violations of a purchase and sale agreement concerning the sale of their home. After briefing and oral argument, I successfully obtained dismissal of the lawsuit at the outset. While this was not a case of first impression, it was a huge success to me and our clients, who were in the process of relocating due to the wife’s debilitating medical condition, which was only exacerbated by the lawsuit and the resolution of same brought them peace and the ability to move on.

What’s a challenge you faced early in your career, and how did you overcome it? As a woman litigating commercial real estate disputes, land use disputes or construction disputes, which are all traditionally male-dominated fields, at times I found that I was underestimated, especially when I was the only woman in the Courtroom or at the other end of a negotiation.
