2026 Women in Construction: Sarah Glass, Cranshaw Construction

Sarah Glass
Business Development Coordinator
Cranshaw Construction

What current or recently completed project, accomplishment or initiative are you most excited about, and why does it matter for your team, clients or community? I’m excited about my transition to business development at Cranshaw Construction, where I support strategic goals while serving as a connector across disciplines. I’m driven to understand decision-making throughout the full project lifecycle, from early planning through delivery and long-term performance. By listening to diverse perspectives and learning the full construction and development process, I aim to build meaningful connections, align goals, and ultimately add value to clients, support my peers, and help my company compete.

What is one piece of advice or perspective you would share with women beginning their careers in the construction industry? One piece of advice I share with women entering construction is to be confident in what you bring and not underestimate your value. Expertise shows up in many forms, how you think, listen, communicate, and collaborate matters as much as technical skill. Lean into what differentiates you, continue learning, and support those around you. Be intentional about seeking growth, mentors, and new perspectives. Leading with curiosity, confidence, and authenticity helps build strong teams and shapes the industry in meaningful ways.

What is something outside of work that brings you energy, balance or creativity? Quiet time in nature resets me, inspires creativity, and helps me return to work with perspective, patience, and intention.
