What are you most excited about in your work or the commercial real estate industry right now?
I’m most excited about the growing role of battery energy storage in commercial real estate. Batteries do far more than reduce electricity costs. They help stabilize the grid, generate new revenue streams through utility programs, and provide operational resilience. For developers and property owners, designing buildings that are solar and battery ready creates long-term flexibility, supports sustainability goals, and maximizes energy investments. It’s a unique moment where utilities are actively rewarding customers for providing value to the grid.
