How has your career path changed in 2022?
I recently joined Bowdoin as director of design management, and I’m excited to help further develop their design-build capabilities. I entered the design-build arena 25 years ago and have always valued the project delivery method. Through the design-build approach, strong trade-partner relationships are developed, with turn-key projects delivered, meeting clients’ budgets and schedules. I’ve wondered why more clients aren’t embracing this process. With current product lead-times and demands on clients, I predict design-build will become more prevalent. I’m excited to be on the forefront of a trend that provides value to clients and aligns with my career experience and skills.
