Anderson of Malone leases 1,500 s/f

Portland, ME Powers Media House, a full-service video and photography company, has leased 1,500 s/f of industrial space at 1 Industrial Way for its new production studio, Studio120. Mike Anderson of Malone Commercial brokered the transaction.

Studio120 occupies one half of a space formerly occupied by a local brewery. The space was converted back to two units with the other half now being home to Soma Metalwork, which moved in earlier this year and just celebrated their grand opening

“We decided to market the space as either a single 3,000 s/f unit or as two 1,500 s/f units to cast the widest net possible to accommodate a variety of tenant’s needs”, said Anderson.

Anderson facilitated both transactions.

Studio120 features a 23-ft.-wide cyclorama wall, a fully built-out podcast studio, and a variety of backdrop setups for photo and video shoots. Designed as a one-stop shop for content creation, the space is available to local creatives, agencies, and small businesses who need a flexible, professional environment.

“Five years ago I started my business out of my bedroom, helping local small businesses with their content needs. I fell in love with the industry and loved learning about other businesses and how they work,” said Mitchell Powers, founder of Powers Media House. “Ever since the beginning of this journey, I had a dream of owning a production studio that was built for the everyday content creator, production agencies, and local business owners to get in their content rain or shine.”

Mitchell first discovered the opportunity after driving by and seeing the for-lease sign with Anderson’s name on it. “One thing I really appreciated about Mike was his open communication and that he answered any questions or concerns in a timely manner. I would definitely work with him again.”
