ARC/Architectural Resources Cambridge has completed work on a new YMCA health and wellness facility at 200 Summit Rd. A celebration was hosted by the Keene Family YMCA to mark the grand opening of the 65,000 s/f space.
The new Keene Family YMCA features a dedicated, six-room childcare center for infants through preschoolers, outdoor playing spaces, a climbing wall and 150 parking spaces and bicycle racks. Facility highlights include an aquatics center with lap pool, whirlpool, sauna, and a zero-entry warm therapy pool. The Keene Family YMCA also includes youth and adult wellness centers, racquetball and squash courts, and a community room. The full multi-purpose gymnasium is fitted with basketball and volleyball courts, a gymnastics floor and gymnastics pit, a jogging track and two fitness studios.
"The Keene Family YMCA is designed to be a top-tier provider of health- and wellness-related programs and a hub of community activity," said ARC president Philip Laird, AIA, LEED AP. "We're very proud to have contributed to a project that provides so many amenities that can enrich the lives of everyone in the Monadnock region."
